GAMABA Award
In 2012, Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA) awardee or National Living Treasures Award was given to Magdalena Gamayo for her extraordinary talent in inabel weaving and became one of the 16 people awarded with it.
Her design that nominates her as an awardee is a technique called "pinilian" that means partially. This difficult weaving technique creates a pattern that illustrates a string of flowers.
